Depending on the age of the vehicle and the type of electrics, if you are not using the vehicle manufacturer’s own wiring kit, relays will be required. The following diagrams show how to use these devices correctly. Please note that some cars may have wiring that differs from the colours shown so you must check each circuit to make sure that you are making the right connection. On older manufactured seven-pin plugs and sockets, terminals were marked L, R, 31, 54, 54G, 58L and 58R. These are shown in the diagram below with their current markings.
